REIMBURSEMENT OF BRIEFCASE CLAIMS IN RESPECT OF CIVILIANS POSTED IN MES FORMATIONS
I am directed to refer to Para 8.17.5 of the 7° CPC as accepted by Government of India vide serial No.19 of Appendix-I| to Gol, Ministry of Finance (Deptt of Expenditure) Resolution No 11-1/2016-IC dated 06 July 2017 and convey the sanction of the competent authority for purchase/reimbursement of expenditure incurred on purchase of Briefcase/official Bag/Ladies Purse by entitled Defence Civilian Personnel of MES once in three years as per monetary ceiling prescribed as below:-

2. The entitled officers/officials can purchase Briefcase/Official Bag/Ladies Purse of their own choice from any private/Public outlet. However, reimbursement shall be restricted to the above mentioned ceiling limits.
3. The above provisions will be subject to the conditions that no additional allocation on this account will be sought. The expenditure involved shall be debitable to concerned head of Miscellaneous expenditure/office contingency.
4. This has approval of the E-in-C.
