NOTIFICATION
In partial modification to Samiti Hqrs Notification No. 11-3/2017-NVS (Admn)/4355 dated 27.08.2018 (point 5), the rate of Honorarium and allowances to the Retired Government Officers appointed as Inquiry Officers in NVS to conduct departmental inquiry, is revised by the Competent Authority as under:

| Honorarium | I | Where the number of witnesses cited in the charge sheet is more than 10 | In case the proceedings are completed within 90 days, otherwise 80% of monthly basic pension drawn or Rs.35,000/- whichever is less |
| II | Where the number of witnesses cited in the charge sheet are between 6-10 | In case the proceedings are completed within 90 days, otherwise 60% of monthly basic pension drawn or Rs.25,000/- whichever is less | |
| III | Where the number of witnesses cited in the Charge sheet is less than 6 | In case the proceedings are completed within 90 days, otherwise 50% of monthly basic pension drawn or Rs.20,000/- whichever is less | |
| Transport Allowance | I | Reimbursement of local conveyance | Actual expenses will be allowed on production of receipt, if travelled by Taxi and in case of travel made by own vehicle, mileage allowance will be allowed as per the notified rates of the concerned directorate 0f Transport Department. However, upper celling will not exeed Rs. 15,000/-. |
| II | Outstation TA/DA to retired Inquiry Officer for regular Inquiry and Preliminary Inquiries | Actual as per entitlement of the officer at the time of his/her retirement. The journey invariably is to be made by public transport. Air journey shall be made only by Air India. | |
| Secretarial Assistance | Typing assistance to Inquiry Officer | Rs. 10,000/- | |
| Restriction on maximum number of disciplinary cases to inquiry Officers | 10 cases in a year, with not more than 2 cases at a time. | ||
| Eligibility for appointment of the Retired IOs | To the extent possible serving officers may be used as IO and PO. Till such time panel of retired IO is available from CVC, services of retired officers who have retired from the Level-11 and above may be utilised. |
This notification is issued with the direction to implement with immediate effect. Other conditions stipulated in the above said order shall remain unchanged.
This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
