Sub: Retention of railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/staff posted to Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail link (USBRL) Project.
In terms of Board’s letter No.E(G) 2001 QR 1-14 dated 27.9.2010, 14.12.2012 and 11.6.2018, retention of Railway accommodation at the previous place of posting in favour of officers/staff posted to Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail link (USBRL) Project was permitted up to 31.3.2023.
2. The matter has been considered by the Full Board and in exercise of the powers vested in it to make reasonable relaxations in public interest for a class/group of employees in all or any of the provisions regarding house allotment/retention, the Full Board have now decided that the officers and staff posted at Jammu-Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail link (USBRL) Project may be permitted to retain railway accommodation at previous place of posting beyond 31.3.2023 on normal rent for a further period of one year i.e. up to 31.3.2024 or completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
