Sub: Extending new means of identification for continuation of pensionary awards in view of COVID-19- upto March-2022.

Kindly refer to this office circulars bearing No. 214 dated 21.10.2020 and Circular No.217 dated 16.07.2021 on the subject. The periodicity of new means of identification for continuance of pensionary awards in view of COVID-19 was extended up to September-2021 or till the Covid-19 situation improves, whichever is earlier vide Govt. of India, Min of Defence, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, F.No.3(01)/2020/ D(Pen/Policy) dated 21.05.2021.

2. Now, Govt. of India, Min of Defence, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi vide their F.No.3(01)/2020/ D(Pen/Pol) dated 21.12.2021, has extended the above periodicity up to March, 2022 or till Covid-19 situation improves, whichever is earlier.

3. Keeping in view the facts, all Pension Disbursing Authorities are requested to
take necessary action accordingly.
